Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Development Specialist to ensure accurate gift processing, timely donor acknowledgments, and efficient fundraising operations across the Association and branches. This role supports donor stewardship and helps staff meet revenue and engagement goals.

Responsibilities include processing gifts in Salesforce, maintaining trackers and logs, producing reports, and coordinating communications while ensuring data integrity and compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 1–3 years in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or related admin role.
• Foundational knowledge of gift processing, acknowledgments, pledges, and donor stewardship.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce, Salesforce NPSP, or comparable CRM system.
• Experience with data entry, record maintenance, and basic reporting with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process and post gifts in Salesforce (checks, online gifts, pledges).
• Maintain gift trackers, inventories, and reconciliation logs.
• Produce daily gift reports and weekly fundraising summaries.
• Generate tax receipts and donor acknowledgments per IRS/YMCA guidelines.
• Coordinate donor communications and mailing lists.
