Job summary

Coptic Orphans is seeking a Communications Specialist to craft donor-facing content, web copy, and event materials in support of our mission. You will collaborate with the Communications Manager to ensure consistent voice, storytelling, and brand alignment across channels.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of nonprofit writing experience, strong editing skills, and the ability to translate research into compelling narratives for donors, partners, and media in the US market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–3 years of content creation experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling across donor comms and websites.
• Strong research skills via interviews with staff, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
• Experience with nonprofit fundraising communications and SEO basics.

Responsibilities

• Produce donor-facing newsletters, impact reports, stewardship materials, and thank-you letters.
• Craft storytelling pieces highlighting impact from field interviews.
• Manage third-party fundraising websites like Global Giving.
• Maintain a library of impact stories and program narratives for campaigns.
• Manage SharePoint folder structure and tagging for the Communications Department.
• Write website content and campaign pages aligned with brand voice and SEO.
• Write scripts for fundraising events and support campaign copy.
• Draft press releases and media-facing materials for the US market.
