The Blood Connection is seeking a friendly, patient-focused donor services representative in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will welcome donors, verify eligibility, perform health screenings, and support the donation process to ensure a smooth, safe experience for every donor.

As the first impression of the organization, you will reflect professionalism, engage with donors, and work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers.
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes donors and guests, opens doors with a smile to create rapport.
• Assesses donor eligibility by computer verification and medical history.
• Performs donor health history and mini physical per SOPs.
• Escorts donor through collection and hands off to the collections team.
• Maintains storefront appearance and cleanliness during hours.
• Communicates organizational values and donor experience vision.
• Performs reception and telephone duties as assigned.
• Participates in blood drives and other events.
