Job summary

Vitalant in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist to lead donor care on blood drives and at donation centers. You will coach staff, coordinate phlebotomy processes, and ensure a smooth donor experience.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, ability to travel, and completion of CDL training. The schedule is a flexible 40-hour week with shifts 5:00 AM–10:00 PM, and pay ranges from $27.08 to $27.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete and pass CDL license program.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site.
• Coordinate the setup and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives.
• Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during the phlebotomy process.
• Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians, providing input for employee performance evaluations.

Your impact as a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant’s donor care team as a lead in creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donor volunteers, most days you’ll conduct a blood drive around town in one of our buses; other days you’ll interact with donors at one of our local donation centers. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community.

The position requires a flexible 40-hour workweek with a variable schedule. You must be available to work any day from Sunday through Saturday, with shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM as needed.

Base Pay

$27.08 - $27.70 / Hour

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you’ll get to

• Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site
• Coordinate the set up and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives.
• Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during phlebotomy process.

• Drive company vehicles including vans, buses to drive sites
• High School Diploma or GED
• Active driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to complete and pass CDL license program
• Ability to travel as required
• Successful completion of supervisory training program within six months
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred
