Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations and move goods to production areas. The role supports a busy warehouse environment outdoors and indoors, with attention to safety and efficiency.

The position pays $20.77 per hour and requires strong communication and teamwork to ensure smooth operations. Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can lift up to 30–40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Unload donations from containers and move goods to production areas.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for processing.
• Provide smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Operate cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies and keep a clean work area.
• Follow safety practices and report hazards.
• Maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Possibly operate forklift safely per Seattle Goodwill standards.
