Responsibilities

• Assist customers purchasing items from The Salvation Army by ringing up sales and handling cash.
• Prepare, balance, and reconcile cash drawer; prepare receipts and bank deposits.
• Maintain sales records, tax forms, and social service vouchers; prepare routine reports.
• Answer store phone courteously and provide directions or information; may schedule donation pickups.
• Explain store policy and pricing; ensure customers have a pleasant shopping experience.
• Assist customers donating items; direct to loading areas and provide tax receipts as needed.
• Keep cash register area neat and stocked; ensure items are displayed properly.
• Open and close store doors; perform warehouse work as scheduled.
