Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Processor for the Shawnee Store - Mission. This hourly full-time role involves handling donations, sorting and pricing goods, and delivering friendly customer service while upholding store standards and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; no degree required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse workforce.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Sorts donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash per guidelines.
• Inspects items to determine quality for sales floor, recycling, or online.
• Identify and price items using AMI pricing software guidelines.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of store areas.
• Provide positive customer service interactions with in-person and phone customers.
• Establishes positive relationships with teammates and leadership, cross-functional communication.
• Use safe work practices to keep aisles clear and hazard-free.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard assets (cash, donated items, purchased items) from harm or theft.
