Job summary

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a dependable Driver to operate a box truck and collect donated items, including furniture and clothing, from donors. You will maintain donor records and ensure safe transport to the warehouse while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid license, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and a professional, friendly demeanor. Candidates must pass a background check and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check.
• Proven ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of traffic laws applicable to large commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to a schedule.
• Proficiency in maneuvering the truck in tight spaces.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate route changes.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck following traffic rules.
• Follow pickup routes efficiently to maximize donations collected.
• Communicate with donors courteously while coordinating pickups.
• Load and unload donated items safely into/out of the vehicle.
• Ensure items are packed to prevent damage during transport.
• Keep the pickup vehicle clean, organized, and safe.
• Record donation details and donor information accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent the organization.
• Report unique or valuable donations to management.
• Follow health and safety protocols for handling items.
• Unload donations at store and sort for processing.
• Stay informed about the organization’s mission and goals.
