Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries in Guntersville, AL is seeking a GGC Production Team Member to join our mission-driven retail operation. You will handle donations, sort merchandise, price items, and prepare stock for the sales floor while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Preferable knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Preferable knowledge of popular brands, trends, books, electronics, antiques, and collectibles.
• Able to perform basic math skills.
• Able to demonstrate good judgment in recognizing items appropriate for sale.
• Able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean appearance.
• Able to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words.
• Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Transport donations from donor vehicles to the donation sorting station.
• Process and sort donations into sellable, salvage, and trash categories.
• Price merchandise and prepare for the sales floor.
• Sort and hang apparel and transport merchandise to the sales floor staging area.
• Provide world-class customer service and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and handling donations as needed.
• Cross-train in the sale of goods and complete required training.
