Main Salvation Army in Chico is seeking a part-time Sorter/Donation Processor to prepare donations for retail sale or salvage in compliance with Salvation Army policy. The role includes sorting, cleaning, preparing, shipping, and receiving donated items while maintaining a clean, safe receiving area.

Educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with safety training and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 1–2 months of related job experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must complete and follow all safety training requirements provided by immediate Supervisor.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift, bend, and stoop.
• Ability to walk, climb and/or balance; lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Follow procedure to sort, clean, prepare, and ship/receive donated items for sale.
• Keep donation area clean and debris-free.
• Sort donations of clothing, furniture, electrical and household items.
• Load donations for truck delivery.
• Adhere to safety policies for loading/unloading trucks and reporting accidents.
