The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Sorter/Donation Processor in Chico, CA to prepare donations for retail sale or salvage in accordance with policy and procedures. The role requires sorting, cleaning, packing, shipping and receiving donated items while keeping the area clean and safe.

Responsibilities include determining saleable vs salvageable items, loading donations for trucks, and following safety and dress code guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must complete safety training.

Responsabilités

• Follow procedure as it pertains to sorting, cleaning, preparing, shipping and receiving donated items for sale
• Keep donation area clean and without debris
• Sorting donations of clothing, furniture, electrical and miscellaneous household items
• Loading donations for truck delivery
• Adhere to all safety policies as it pertains to loading and unloading of trucks
• Follow all accident and injury reporting procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving and processing area
• Determine which items are saleable, repairable or salvageable
• Other duties as assigned
• Adhere to proper dress code, with uniform as designated by direct Supervisor
