Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking an Associate I, Donation Services in Colorado Springs to greet donors, process donations, and provide friendly service in an outdoor setting.

The role primarily serves at the Centennial Donation Center, with potential shifts at the Kelly Johnson Store. Donor hours run 9 AM–5 PM daily; stores open 8 AM–8:30 PM. This is a full-time position with Daily Pay and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to make decisions by following Goodwill standards and guidelines.
• Must have basic computer skills to log into a computer system to order supplies and to send and receive email.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varying temperatures.
• Must be able to use safety equipment to assist with lifting heavy objects such as a dolly or pallet jack.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with donations in a timely manner.
• Unload donations from vehicles or other areas as needed.
• Sort donated items into appropriate bins or production areas.
• Inspect donations and route to sales floor or other locations as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean environment at donation entrances and parking areas.
• Support remote donation centers and follow opening/closing procedures.
• Keep supplies stocked at remote sites when necessary.
• Track donation levels daily and report when trailers are full or nearing capacity.
• Communicate when a truck is needed for donation transport.
• Follow all policies and safety procedures; assist drivers as needed.
• Crosstrain in other departments and act as back-up when required.
• Report to ADC or stand-alone centers as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
