Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience lifting and hauling heavy items such as appliances and furniture or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to read maps or written directions.

Responsibilities

• Rides in Salvation Army truck on a scheduled route to pick up donated items.
• Inspects donated items briefly for acceptance per policy; explains accepted item types to customers.
• Lifts, carries, and loads donations into the truck; optimizes space and safety.
