Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Production Assistant (Truck Driver) to complete driving routes for pickup and/or drop off of donations at the warehouse, assigned donation boxes, and at donor homes. Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, daily inspections, and professional donor interactions.

Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 100 lbs, map reading and route planning skills, and experience with GPS-enabled devices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable DMV record.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
• Must be able to read maps and plan daily routes.
• Must be able to use an iPad with GPS and truck inspection reports.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Medical card may be required depending on city/state.
• Passing a DOT physical is a job requirement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle and equipment are secure and safe to operate.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Keep truck cab and box clean and organized.
• Plan and execute daily routing for pickups and deliveries.
• Develop assigned routes and ensure proper loading and unloading.
• Represent The Salvation Army professionally to customers and donors.
• Supervise Truck Helper and assist Thrift Store staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery manifests and logs.
