The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Fairbanks, AK seeks a Truck Driver (Non-CDL/DOT) to safely operate and maintain trucks, handle donations and merchandise, and support daily warehouse operations.

The role requires Alaska licensing, good customer service, route planning, and teamwork with the Corps Officers. It is a 40-hour per week, full-time on-site position with duties including loading, unloading, and vehicle upkeep.

Formación

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Licensed to operate trucks per Alaska requirements.
• Able to read map books, plan routes, and use a two-way radio.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Current Alaska driver's license with acceptable driving and criminal history records.

Responsabilidades

• Plan daily routing based on store drop-offs of processed material.
• Inspect trucks daily (air, water, oil) and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Assist with onloading and offloading of merchandise.
• Coordinate with Thrift Store Manager on production needs (receiving, sorting, pricing, stocking).
• Operate Salvation Army vehicle to collect donations and transport to the Fairbanks Dump; keep the vehicle clean and serviced.
• Represent the Army by ensuring courteous customer treatment.
• Maintain warehouse/thrift store cleanliness inside and out.
• Assist with making/loading recycle bales.
• Support loss prevention by reporting incidents to management.
• Report safety hazards and help protect property, vehicles, and buildings.
• Instruct and supervise ride-along assistants during loading/unloading.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
