Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months experience lifting and hauling heavy items such as appliances or furniture.
• No formal education required.

Responsibilities

• Rides in Salvation Army truck on scheduled route to pickup donated items.
• Inspects donated items according to established policies and procedures for usability. Explains policy to customers regarding types of items that can be accepted.
• Packs items in truck to maximize use of space, protects items from damage, and ensures safety.
• Prepares donation receipts for customers. Maintains good relationships with donors and promote favorable image of The Salvation Army
