Job summary

The Salvation Army a Georgia Corp in Waco, TX is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Driver and Donations Associate to operate Salvation Army trucks, pick up and deliver donations, and assist customers in-store pickups.

Responsibilities include planning efficient routes, preparing receipts, maintaining vehicles, and supporting warehouse duties while upholding our positive image and safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors.
• Ability to drive a box truck safely and lawfully.

Responsibilities

• Drives Salvation Army truck along scheduled route to pick-up donations and/or delivery merchandise to customers.
• Reviews scheduled pick-ups to ensure correct day and location.
• Organizes scheduled pick-ups by most direct routes to save time and fuel.
• Drives to the dump and recycling center to dispose of non-useable donations and trash.
• Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space and follows safety policies.
• Lifts and stacks donations, loads/unloads truck, and delivers items as directed.
• Prepares donation receipts and maintains donor relations.
• Maintains truck maintenance and logs mileage.
• Assists in warehouse cleanup and loading dock tasks.
