Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is seeking a Wares Processor to turn donated items into great finds for the community. You will prepare items for retail stores, helping fund programs and services that strengthen our region.

Responsibilities include sorting, pricing, labeling, and meeting production goals while providing friendly customer service. The role is primarily in-store with potential cross-training and safety-focused duties, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail or production experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.
• Basic reading and writing skills for policies, labels, and routine reports.
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and contribute ideas.

Responsibilities

• Sort and assess hard line products based on quality standards.
• Price, tag, and label merchandise using pricing guides.
• Meet daily/bi-weekly production goals by processing items.
• Maintain knowledge of hard line merchandise and build product expertise.
• Stock and organize merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist with customer concerns per store policies.
• Keep workstations, sales areas, and shared spaces clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling merchandise and equipment.
• Work collaboratively as a positive, supportive team member.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
