Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes seeks a Wares Processor to prepare donated items for our retail stores and support programs that strengthen our region. You will sort, price, tag, and label merchandise, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment while delivering friendly customer service.

The role emphasizes meeting production goals, working evenings, weekends, and holidays, and building product expertise in hard line items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail or production experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers.
• Basic reading and writing skills for policies, labels, and routine reports.
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and contribute ideas.

Responsibilities

• Sort and assess hard line products based on quality standards.
• Price, tag, and label merchandise using pricing guides.
• Meet daily and bi-weekly production goals by processing items efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of hard line merchandise and build product expertise.
• Stock and organize merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer service and assist with customer concerns.
• Keep workstations and spaces clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow safety procedures when handling merchandise and equipment.
• Work collaboratively as a positive team member and cross-train as needed.
