The Salvation Army Thrift Store seeks a professional Donation Pickup & Delivery Driver on local routes. You will transport donations to and from designated destinations, represent the organization, and ensure timely, courteous service.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, ability to pass DOT screenings, and comfortable use of iPad apps and basic payroll systems. A strong work ethic and safe driving record are essential.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years licensed driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT screen, drug test, and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Transportation & Logistics: Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently; Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries; Ensure security and safe handling of all goods and materials; Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles; Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Customer Service: Act as a personal representative of The Salvation Army; Ensure all donors are treated courteously and respectfully; Communicate donation acceptance policy with donors; Report any pickup problems to dispatcher; Maintain professional appearance per ARC dress code.
• Operations Support: Use DSS program and assigned iPad apps effectively; Support beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoring; Handle loading and unloading of trucks as needed; Wear all assigned PPE including gloves, masks, and back guard; Report any safety or security concerns immediately.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community.We're seeking a professional and courteous driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. This role is essential in representing The Salvation Army while providing exceptional service to our donors and maintaining efficient operations.

*Must be able to obtain Non-CDL Class C*

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Logistics

Required Certifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Clear MVR report
• Successful completion of required testing

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, handle, feel, hear, and talk
• Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment
• Store and warehouse environments
• Quiet to moderate noise level
• Temperature fluctuations based on weather
• Flexible schedule including early shifts, late shifts, and some weekends
