Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is hiring a store associate to greet donors, unload donations, and assist customers. No experience required, as full training is provided.

You will stay active, lift up to 100 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven setting. Starting at $15 per hour with annual raises and bonuses, the role includes benefits, training and career development, team member discounts, and tuition reimbursement for full‑time staff.

• Able to follow safety procedures and handle physical tasks (lifting, standing, moving merchandise).

• This job keeps you active! Expect plenty of standing, walking, and using your hands. You'll often talk, reach, bend, kneel, push, and pull. Occasionally, you may climb or balance. Heavy lifting up to 100+ pounds-is part of the role. Strong vision for distance and depth is key.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and provide receipts.
• Sort, inspect, and price merchandise following safety and quality guidelines.
• Move items to the sales floor and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Load/unload donation trailers and handle custodial tasks throughout your shift.
• Track donation counts accurately and help maintain store cleanliness, including cart retrieval.
• Report any safety, theft, or security concerns to management.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
• You'll be working indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements
