Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations, sort them for production, and move goods to the correct areas within a busy warehouse environment in Bellingham.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for long periods, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace. Forklift certification is optional, with Seattle Goodwill standards. The position offers a non-exempt, production department-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency preferred, but not required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to lift 30–40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Able to communicate effectively with others, including those who have limited English skills.
• Seattle Goodwill Forklift certification optional, must meet eligibility requirements

Responsibilities

• Unload donations from containers and move goods to appropriate production areas.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for further processing.
• Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Maintain donor tallies and a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards or accidents.
