Job summary

Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a part-time Collection Attendant to greet donors, accept donations, issue receipts, and maintain organized donation sites.

Under supervision, you will sort items, assist at trailers and Donation Xpress, and ensure safe handling of goods. This role emphasizes friendly customer service, reliability, and the ability to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property.
• Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.
• May be required to pass a drug screening.
• Must be able to perform essential functions Collection Attendant job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards as established by the company.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all donors.
• Greets and assists donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accepts or rejects donations according to guidelines.
• Sorts donations in designated categories.
• Adheres to principles of workstation organization.
• Loads/unloads donated goods safely and effectively.
• Maintains site appearance and cleanliness.
• Keeps management informed as to site needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
