Job summary

Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. seeks a part-time Collection Attendant to support donation centers under the ACC District Manager. You will greet donors, accept donations, issue receipts, and maintain site appearance and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting donors at vehicles, sorting items, loading/unloading, and ensuring trailer and stairs are in good condition while providing friendly customer service and following donation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property.
• Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.
• May be required to pass a drug screening.
• Must be able to perform essential functions Collection Attendant job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards as established by the company.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all donors.
• Greet and assist donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept or reject donations according to guidelines.
• Sort donations into designated categories.
• Adhere to principles of workstation organization.
• Load/Unload donated goods safely and effectively.
• Maintain site appearance and cleanliness.
• Keep management informed as to site needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assist donors at vehicles and help unload donations.
• Place donations in the trailer and ensure trailer and stairs are in proper working order.
