Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a donation associate to assist customers with donated goods, greet donors, and help unload vehicles. You will presort donations by category and label them for easy handling.

Responsibilities include loading trailers, keeping a clean work area, and following safety rules. Evening and weekend shifts may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination with work experience considered.
• No previous experience required.
• Background check will be completed as part of employment.
• No driving is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers.
• Assist donors by greeting them and helping unload donations without damaging their vehicle.
• Accurately presort donations by category and label accordingly.
• Safely load trailers with donated goods.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment for safety and efficiency.
• Ensure security of company assets and report suspected theft or security issues.
• Know and follow department policies and procedures.
• Communicate directly with supervisor about issues in the donation area and with customers.
• Maintain a positive public image by adhering to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Exercise sound judgment in dealing with customers to benefit both customers and Goodwill.
