Job summary

The Salvation Army SAN JOSE ARC in San Jose, CA is seeking a Donation Attendant at $18.45 per hour. This full-time role involves maintaining the donation trailer/pod area, assisting donors, and ensuring proper handling and documentation of donations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
• Ability to read, write, and understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area around the donation trailer/pod at the start and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly dressed in clothing per The Salvation Army dress code policy.
• Courteously assist donors in receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack material as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform supervisor of needed items before running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
• Flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
• Other duties as assigned.
