Job summary

Hope Services, Silicon Valley's leading nonprofit, seeks a friendly team member to receive and secure donated items at community drop locations. The role emphasizes on-the-job training for HOPE Trainees and strong customer service.

Pay rate is $18.45/hr with a Sunday–Tuesday 9:00am–5:00pm schedule. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, issuing receipts, preparing items for pickup, keeping storage neat, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: No formal education required, 1 year related OTJ training/experience working in a position providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides good customer service to all visitors at the assigned location. Represents HOPE in the community.
• Accepts donated materials and provides the customer with a receipt.
• Prepares material for pick by HOPE trucks. Separates clothing from miscellaneous materials, stores appropriately.
• Maintains a neat storage unit and assures security of all materials.
• Loads and unloads donated materials as needed.
• Locks and unlocks station at the start and finish of each shift.
• Calls in all concerns and issues to home base. Reports all losses and customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned to assure efficiency of operation.
