Job summary

Goodwill is hiring a Donation Attendant at our Crestview location to deliver world class customer service while processing donated goods, issuing tax receipts, and keeping accurate counts. Under supervision, you will assist donors, help unload donations, price and sort items, and transport goods to the sales floor, all while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

This role requires good work ethic, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior retail experience is not required but

Qualifications

• Good work ethic and judgment to distinguish saleable items from non-saleable items.
• Able to follow policies and procedures and work a variety of schedules.
• Willingness to mentor and train co-workers and learn new tasks.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, dollies or forklifts when authorized.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class customer service to donors and customers.
• Greet donors and customers promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist donors and transportation staff with unloading donations and issuing tax receipts.
• Maintain accurate daily counts of donations and report to store manager.
• Clean, price and transport furniture to sales floor; prepare items for shipment.
• Sort donations into pre-determined categories and participate in training as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all policies and safety procedures.
