Job summary

The Salvation Army Santee Thrift Store is seeking a Donation Attendant to support our Retail Team on site. You will help maintain the donation area, assist donors with receipts, and ensure proper paperwork and reporting are kept up to date.

Qualifications

• Background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and follow instructions.
• Effective communication with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod area at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack material as instructed.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
