The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Donation Attendant to join our Operations team. This full-time role involves managing the donation trailer area, sorting items, assisting donors, and supporting the team with loading donations.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and clean up the Donation trailer/pod area at start and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly dressed per dress code policy.
• Assist donors with receipt of donated items and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donations into proper containers and stack materials as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform supervisor of needed items prior to running out (supplies etc).
• Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
• Must have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: OPERATIONS MANAGER

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
2. Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy
3. Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt
4. Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor
5. Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor
6. Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary
7. Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
8. Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
9. Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes
10. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
• Education: High School or Equivalent (required)
• Experience: Please explain gaps in your work history. (required)
• Experience: Do you have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent? (required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
