Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Donation Attendant in California to maintain the donation trailer area, greet donors, and provide receipts.

This is a full-time role requiring neat appearance, the ability to communicate effectively, read and follow instructions, and flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the Donation trailer/pod area at start and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly dressed per The Salvation Army dress code.
• Assist donors with receipt of donated items.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as directed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated materials into containers and stack as instructed.
• Assist with loading donations onto trucks when needed.
• Notify supervisor of items needed before stocks run out.
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
• Flexible availability for scheduling.

Essential Job Duties

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
• Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
• Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
