Job summary

The Salvation Army Boulder Thrift Store is hiring a Donation Attendant to support the retail operations by managing donation areas, assisting donors, and maintaining reports. This full-time role offers a structured environment with benefits and opportunities for growth in a community-focused nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities include keeping the donation area tidy, processing donations and receipts, and collaborating with supervisors and drivers to ensure smooth pickup and loading.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod area at the start and end of each shift.
• Assist donors in receiving donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort and separate donated materials into proper containers and stack as directed.
• Assist TSA drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Inform supervisor of items needed (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
