Job summary

The Salvation Army Alameda Thrift Store is seeking a committed Donation Attendant to join our retail team. This full-time role involves maintaining the donation area, assisting donors with receipts, and ensuring proper paperwork and storage of items.

You will support loading donations and coordinating with supervisors to maintain orderly operations. We offer benefits including PTO, medical/dental/vision, retirement, and an incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check (Criminal History & Sex Offender Registry).
• Ability to read and write and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning the donations area at the trailer/pod at start and end of shift.
• Assist donors in receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as directed by Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Notify supervisor when items (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts) run low.
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at end of shift.
