Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Donation Attendant to maintain the donation trailer, assist donors with receipts, and ensure the area stays clean and secure. The role supports the store operations at the E Street Thrift Store and helps the Adult Rehabilitation Program.

You will sort donations, complete reports as directed, help load items onto trucks, and coordinate with supervisors to keep supplies stocked.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).
• Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod at the start and end of each shift.
• Assist donors in receiving gift receipts for donated items.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisors.
• Separate and sort donated materials into proper containers and stack them as instructed.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Notify supervisors when items such as brooms, receipts, totes, or carts are running low.
• Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
