Job summary

Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clemmons, NC is seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team at a skilled nursing facility. This leadership role oversees nursing operations, regulatory compliance, care planning, and quality improvement to ensure top-tier resident care.

The DON will supervise RNs/LPNs/CNAs, mentor staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with medical staff to achieve excellent outcomes for residents while maintaining high staff morale.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina (or eligible for reciprocity).
• 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Proven experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant DON, or Nurse Manager.
• Strong understanding of nursing regulations, clinical standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and lead an effective team with high staff morale.
• Proficient in care planning, clinical systems, and EMR documentation.
• CPR certification required; additional certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team at our skilled nursing facility located in Clemmons, NC. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a positive and collaborative environment for both residents and staff.

Position Summary:

The Director of Nursing will manage all aspects of the nursing department, including clinical operations, staffing, care planning, compliance, and quality improvement. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and strategic leader with strong clinical knowledge and proven success in long-term care or post-acute settings.
