Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team and uphold the highest standards of patient care in a skilled nursing environment.

The DON will oversee all clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor RNs/LPNs/CNAs, and drive performance improvements across resident care and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

Active RN license (state-specific).
3–5 years nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing/long-term care.
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey process, and clinical compliance.
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with EMR systems.
Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee all nursing operations and ensure delivery of high-quality resident care.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS guidelines.
Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
Monitor quality measures, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor costs effectively.
Oversee survey readiness and regulatory inspections.
Investigate incidents, address concerns, and ensure timely resolution.
