Job summary

Washington County District Attorney's Office in Hillsboro, Oregon, is seeking a Paralegal Intern to join the Domestic Violence Team for up to a year. This role suits recent graduates or current paralegal students who thrive in a fast-paced legal setting.

Under the supervision of a deputy district attorney, you will gather documents, review reports, redact and present audio/video evidence, and maintain data for trials with strict deadlines and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in paralegal studies or recently graduated.
• Solid understanding of legal procedures and deadlines.
• Ability to work under supervision of a deputy district attorney.
• Attention to detail and independent decision-making.
• Fluency in English; Spanish bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate and gather documents, records, and evidence from agencies.
• Review reports and prepare factual and legal summaries.
• Review audio and video evidence for redaction and courtroom presentation.
• Maintain and organize data in spreadsheets.
• Assist in preparation for legal proceedings, including trials.
