Velocity Logistics Hiring is seeking a Domestic Truckload FTL/LTL Coordinator in Chicago to manage daily operations and oversee shipments. You will quote, coordinate with customers and carriers, negotiate rates, and track progress while growing carrier relations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and customer service in a fast-paced setting with salary in the mid $50k–$60k range depending on experience.

Domestic Truckload FTL/LTL Coordinator

Location: Chicago

Salary - $55k to $65k commensurate of experience

Job Description

This position will be responsible for managing the daily operating tasks of new and existing business. You will oversee daily shipments of FTL/LTL and assist in the growth and development of the business

Responsibilities

• Quoting several modes of transportation based on the customers' needs
• Coordinating shipments with customers and booking with carriers
• Negotiating rates with carriers
• Tracking shipments and updating customers
• Learning and understanding trucking markets
• Developing new carrier relationships
• Maintain strong communication with customers and building customer relationships
• Complete accurate profit and loss analysis for each shipment.

Requirements

• 3 plus years of experience in Domestic Transportation
• Strong communication and negotiating skills
• Ability to work on a team and assist team members when needed
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
