Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Domestic Operations Coordinator in Salt Lake City to manage daily domestic shipments and coordinate with carriers. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely communication, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

You will use transportation management systems, handle documentation and billing tasks, and provide frontline support to customers and internal teams. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–3 years of logistics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
• Familiarity with TSA, C-TPAT, and hazmat regulations preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Accurate typing and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute day-to-day domestic shipments and freight.
• Schedule, route, and dispatch freight via air, truck, and local carriers.
• Obtain and track Proof of Delivery (POD) for shipments.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Manage shipment status updates and provide proactive communication to customers.
• Process documentation, including manifests, rate quotes, cargo releases, and invoices.
• Use transportation management systems to monitor shipment flow.
• Maintain customer Tariffs and update records in systems.
• Provide administrative support including billing, reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Support compliance with FAA security protocols, TSA regulations, C-TPAT, and hazmat procedures.
• Promote safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
