PGL is seeking an entry-level Freight Forwarding Clerk at LAX Station, Rancho Dominguez, CA. The role requires a 4-year degree and offers an hourly wage in line with the shipping industry. You will support documentation, client communication, and cost calculations for international and domestic shipments.

Responsibilities include preparing bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Formación

• 2-7 Years of Freight Forwarding experience
• Hazmat certification a plus
• AOG experience a plus
• Education: Industry related degree and/or certification
• Willing to work variable schedule, including overtime, weekends and holidays

Responsabilidades

• Calculate shipping weight, volume, or cost of goods.
• Inform clients of shipping options, timelines, and regulations.
• Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, origin certificates).
• Provide shipment status updates to exporters, consignees, or insurers.
• Verify packaging and labeling of exported goods.
• Prepare invoices or cost quotations for freight transportation.
• Consolidate loads to reduce costs.
• Monitor locations of goods in transit.
• Negotiate shipping rates with freight carriers.
• Arrange delivery or storage at destinations.
• Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
