Job summary

Lynden Logistics, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Operations Agent to support the Domestic Operations team. You will manage the full life cycle of freight shipments, from quoting to delivery, ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time performance in a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years freight forwarding or transportation operations experience, or 3 years of customer service or transportation-related experience.
• Ability to obtain TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) or TSA-recognized equivalent credential.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic shipments from initial customer request through final delivery.
• Obtain rates, secure spot quotes, and select transportation solutions that meet timelines and budget.
• Prepare shipment documentation including bills of lading and labels.
• Track and trace shipments and communicate status updates.
• Review shipment charges and customer billing information for accuracy.
• Collaborate with carriers, vendors, customers, warehouses, and internal teams.
• Assist with warehouse activities as needed.
• Investigate shipment issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain audit-ready shipment records and ensure TSA/HazMat compliance.
