Job summary

Cygnet Fountains is hiring a Domestic Assistant on a part-time basis (16 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday, 9am–1pm) at Blackburn BB2 1TU. This fixed-term contract covers maternity for up to 12 months. Salary is £13.15 per hour, with benefits including progression opportunities, supervision, and a pension scheme.

DBS check will be required. Role focuses on cleaning, housekeeping, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work is desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service.
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning regimes.
• Replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.

Cygnet Fountains

is a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for men who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. The individuals we support come to us following multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or stepping down from secure settings.
