Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking a Dog Trainer for Mutty Paws Academy to join a team focused on elevating pet care. You will design training plans, teach commands, and mentor pet parents on behavior and consistency in daily routines.

Role requires at least one year of professional dog training, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings/weekends. Compensation includes hourly pay plus commission, health benefits, 401K, and daily wage access.

Qualifications

• Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family.
• One year of professional dog training experience required.
• Training certification preferred.
• Knowledge of various dog commands and breeds.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Create a training plan for the dog.
• Teach commands to the dog and pet parent.
• Be patient with a stubborn dog.
• Teach pet parents about dog behavior.
• Understand a pet parent’s needs.
• Work with the pet parent to teach them about their dog.
• Teach pet parents how to reinforce good behavior.
• Listen to pet parent concerns.
• Performs add-on services as needed.
• Follows procedures for the safe handling of all pets.
