Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is hiring a Pet Care Center Dog Trainer to advance our mission of pet health and wellness. You will deliver individual and group training using positive reinforcement and tailor plans to address each pet’s goals.

Partners will receive guidance on nutrition, services, and essential supplies while building lasting relationships with pet families. You will engage guests to recommend merchandise, manage training records, and collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care, training, and welfare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with pet parents.
• Demonstrated ability to handle dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds safely.
• Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Familiarity with computer systems and software to manage training records.

Responsibilities

• Provide World Class Dog Training Services: pass DTIP, schedule sessions, recommend classes and supplies, record progress, maintain confidentiality, collaborate with grooming/vet teams.
• Provide 360-Degree Solutions for guests: guide product/service selections, drive future business, ensure animal health and welfare knowledge, stock/display merchandise, support omni shopping.
• Other duties: promote teamwork, follow policies, complete special projects, and assist leadership as needed.
