Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Dog Trainer to advance our mission of pet health and wellness. You will provide one-on-one and group training, develop personalized plans, and guide pet parents toward successful outcomes.

As a Petco Certified Dog Trainer, you will complete the six-week Instructor Program and collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams to deliver holistic care. You will engage guests, recommend classes, and support a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Passion for animal care and welfare with clear communication.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes safely and humanely.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class dog training services and develop training plans.
• Complete Dog Training Instructor Program and related modules.
• Sell appropriate classes, training and supplies to clients.
• Maintain accurate training records and guest feedback.
• Collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams for holistic care.
• Support guests with merchandise recommendations and services.
