Job summary

Bowie Barker is seeking a Dog Grooming Specialist in Illinois. You will create calm, positive environments, deliver beautiful grooms, and guide guests on services and add-ons to keep dogs healthy and happy. Join a team that values high standards and a strong guest experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional dog grooming experience.
• Highly skilled in all dog haircuts with a strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable discussing pricing and recommending add-ons.

Responsibilities

• Groom 6 to 10 dogs per day while maintaining quality and safety.
• Perform full service grooms from bath to finish including cutting, trimming, brushing, drying, and nail care.
• Execute breed standard cuts and high quality custom styles.
• Consult with pet parents to understand goals and recommend appropriate services and add-ons.
• Drive upgrade services and support membership growth.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grooming station.
• Support your team and uphold Bowie Barker standards.

Who You Are:

• 3 plus years of professional dog grooming experience
• Highly skilled in all dog haircuts with a strong attention to detail
• Comfortable discussing pricing and recommending add‑ons
• Able to lift and safely handle dogs 60+ pounds
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in a fast paced environment
• Reliable, organized, and tech confident
• Excited to grow with a brand that values both performance and culture
