Job summary

Bowie Barker Seattle is seeking talented groomers to join our founding team in Seattle, WA. We offer a modern, app-enabled bath + grooming experience with a calm, dog-loving environment and no heavy lifting.

Provide full grooming services, maintain a clean station, and communicate with pet parents to meet grooming goals. You should have 1+ year of grooming experience, own basic tools, and be available weekends. Compensation starts at $25–$29 per hour plus gratuity.

• Calm, gentle approach to handling all breeds/sizes.

Responsibilities

• Provide full grooming services from start to finish (cutting, clipping, shaving, trimming, bathing, brushing, drying, grinding, nails).
• Groom multiple dogs per day while keeping stress low for everyone.
• Communicate with pet parents to ensure expectations are met; maintain a clean, calm station.

What You’ll Do

• Provide full grooming services from start to finish. These services include: cutting, clipping, shaving, trimming, bathing, brushing, drying, grinding, and clipping nails, and gland expression.
• Groom multiple dogs per day while keeping stress low for both you and the pups
• Communicate with pet parents to ensure expectations are met
• Keep your station clean and calm - always
• Communicate with pet parents to understand and meet their grooming goals
• Create a calm, efficient grooming experience - we aim for 6-10 dogs per day
• Help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for all guests (two- and four-legged)

You’re a Great Fit if You

• Have 1+ year of grooming experience and confidence in your skills
• Bring a calm, gentle approach to handling all breeds and sizes
• Love dogs (obviously), but also enjoy being part of a respectful, fast-paced team
• Thrives in a respectful, upbeat, and dog-loving environment
• Groomers: Own your own tools i.e.: clippers, blades, scissors, brushes, combs; however, we provide grooming tool reimbursement
• Must be able to stand for long hours; you DO NOT need to lift 50lbs - our grooming baths have walk up ramps, grooming tables have hydraulic and electric adjustable platforms
• Available weekend days (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
