Job Summary:

Daycare attendants support the dogs throughout their shift during their stay at the club including play/interaction, feeding, medications, and cleaning up after our dogs to ensure a safe, healthy, and sanitized space.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

1. Supervising groups of dogs; engage pups with play activities.
2. Clean-up after dogs and sanitizing club areas.
3. Preparing meals.
4. Preparing and administering medications.
5. Accurately and consistently tracking and logging feedings and medication administration.
6. Reporting health concerns to other members of the team (Member Services).
7. Adhering to safety protocols.
8. Communicating effectively with members.
9. Conducting yourself in a manner that is in the best interest of members and PUPS team members.
10. Representing PUPS in a professional and positive manner.

Competencies:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
3. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
4. Ability to function well independently and in a sometimes stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Customer service oriented.
3. Pet care experience and/or training preferred.
4. Basic computer experience.
5. A love for dogs.

Physical Requirements:

1. Standing or walking for long periods of time.
2. Kneeling, bending, or twisting their body.
3. Able to safely lift dogs of up to 50 lbs.
