Job summary

Animal House Jacksonville is seeking dog lovers to provide top-notch care in a safe, fun environment. Starting pay is $12.00 per hour with raises based on performance.

Ideal candidates are kind, conscientious, and detail-oriented, with a flexible schedule and a passion for teamwork. Responsibilities include supervising dog playgroups, learning canine body language, ensuring kennels are clean, feeding and caring for pets per owner instructions, and maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Team Player with ability to work well with others.
• Good communicator for interactions with team, management, and pet parents.
• Flexibility with evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail to ensure guest safety and comfort.
• Animal care experience preferred but not required.
• Dog-friendly with comfort around dogs of all sizes.
• Physical stamina to stand/work for hours and lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a dog playgroup and manage behavior.
• Learn canine body language to keep dogs safe in kennels and playgroups.
• Maintain kennel and play areas with high cleaning standards.
• Feed pets according to parents' instructions; provide fresh water and bedding.
• Administer medication per veterinary instructions.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
• Love and care for dogs.
