Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Construction Manager to support Centrus Energy at Oak Ridge, TN. You will guide preconstruction, planning, procurement, and field execution with a focus on safety and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with PMs, contractors, and site personnel; managing bids, change orders, and documentation; and ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to construction safety and compliance with safety programs.
• Experience in scheduling, contract administration, and field execution.
• Ability to lead meetings, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive issue resolution.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Experience in fast-paced field environments with cross-stakeholder coordination.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DOE security clearance if required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal contract position.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts from concept through design development and construction handover.
• Support planning, permitting, regulatory compliance, and early procurement activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks including site conditions and regulatory issues.
• Assist with development of SOWs, RFQ, RFPs; support schedule development.
• Guide construction projects with PMs; oversee construction managers and coordinators.
• Evaluate bids and determine best contractor; manage change orders and safety concerns.
• Oversee project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and preconstruction records.
• Maintain construction schedule and coordinate site logistics with procurement.
